During this time of pandemic we need to think outside the box on how best to minister to the youth of the parish in our religious education and Confirmation preparation program. In addition we know that the parents and sponsors are the first teachers of the faith to the family and need to be included in the process. For those reasons we decided that our high school program will be online this year.
To provide the best experience to accomplish this teaching we are dividing our program into the following areas:
1) Online classes using Zoom
2) Movies from FORMED.org
3) Monthly audio talks from FORMED.org
4) Discussion worksheets for candidates, parents, and sponsors
All this information will be here on this page for you to follow along with the requirements, forms and service projects to walk you through the process.
We hope and pray that this year that is full of challenges and uncertinity will also be filled with love, hope and a better understanding of our wonderful Catholic faith. So, sit back and welcome to the 2020-2021 St. Paul High School / Confirmation Religious Education Program.

In this uncertain time of pandemic, the retreat team determined it is not possible to have a weekend Confirmation retreat. At the same time, they discussed the importance of offering a time for personal reflection, community building, and spiritual formation. It was decided that we would have a one-day retreat limiting participation to the students and sponsors (or parent if sponsor is not available) who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on April 18, 2020. Below are the details and registration form.
In the effort to help you with your personal schedules the remaining classes are below. As a reminder you will need to sign in for each class.
Parents, we believe that you are the first and primary teacher of your children. We that in mind we are working to provide you with information and resources to help you share our rich Catholic faith with your children. In this section we will be providing weekly parent letters and resources to start the onversartions.
In addition we are working on a parent group to help parents with the wonderful "teenage years" and how that effects their personal faith. We will post that information here once it is ready to start.

Thank you in advance for saying "yes" to be a sponsor for Confirmation. Your role is to spiritually walk with the candidate during the preparation for the sacrament. You will be assisting the young person in being a true witness and disciple of Jesus, and representing the community when you present your candidate to the bishop.
During this preparation process we ask that you spend time sharing our beautiful Catholic faith with your candidate.
The number one question we get every year is; "What are the requirements for youth Confirmation?" Listed below are the minimum requirements.
In this section we will be adding the documentation that you will need for Confirmation, study guides, reflection materials and much more. Stop by often to seee what has been added.
In addition to religious education we offer our weekly youth group. This is a time where we get together and build community, share our faith, build on what is discussed in class, and have a lot of laughs. All high school youth are invited to attend if they are in class or not, so invite your friends.
We meet in Grace Hall from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Come to 5 pm Mass and stay for Youth group!
