Seeing and understanding the need for the parish community to gather together following a Funeral Mass or Memorial, we assist the family by setting up Grace Hall with beverages, salads and desserts for the grieving family and guests.
We rely on donations from the St. Paul Church community for the salads, desserts, paper goods and volunteers to help wth the funeral luncheons. This is a time-sensitive ministry, where we may have only a few days to coordinate a luncheon for a grieving family. Once notified by the parish office, we contact volunteers via e-mail or by telephone with information and details about the luncheon: Date/Time, Item needed, Drop-Off Location, Volunteer of time.
Volunteer Opportunities: Make a Salad or Relish Tray; Bake a Cake, Pie, Brownies, Cookies or Cupcakes; Store-bought items are welcome too; Assist with Set Up or Clean Up (usually one hour prior and/or one hour following). Simply reply to email or phone message if available to assist when you are contacted. Call us to get on our list.
We appreciate all, who assist, as needed, in this worthwhile and meaningful Ministry of Hospitality. If you would like your name added to the volunteer list, please contact the parish office.
